suburban fervor

nom de plume dress, shiraleah handbag, vintage chelsea boots, a. giannetti sweater

My vision of a good outfit: Neutral, soft-as-clouds sweater? Check. Perfectly battered chelsea boots? Check. Grown-up yet slouchy handbag? Check. Waterfall skirt? Check. Add a freshly shaved undercut and copious amounts of liquid eyeliner, and you've got my go-to look for probably the next few months.

all dat gLiTtEr$

vintage everything

I've been simultaneously really inspired by Lana Del Rey, Rayanne Graff and Audrey Horne lately, so over the next few posts I'm going to try and reinterpret some semblance of their style, smashed together with my own. This look is definitely more Lana (although the unabashed 80s-ness could be a little Twin Peaks-esque). I found this amazeballs top at my favorite thrift place yesterday, and I knew I had to wear it at our Christmas party (to scare the relatives, natch). I was going to shave a star into my undercut as well, but I thought it might be a little much considering I'm singing at church tonight. You win this time, Jesus...

Anyway, happy holidays to everyone. I've been blessed by so many things in my life, and I hope everyone has had some moments this year that they'll remember fondly forever. And I hope you all get swag-tastic Christmas gifts, of course.

Happy Holidays, Bitches

Look at this terrifying-ass christmas card. Me and Wowa made it using this off-brand version of photoshop. This is the original photo, which makes it even better. The cherub has our cat's face on it, if you didn't get that. Merry Christmas y'all!

lonely girl

Shakuhachi slit skirt, Topshop studded leather dress, House of Harlow arrow necklace, Michele black/rose gold watch, Opening Ceremony beanie, Topshop choker, ASOS white leather boot

I know it's kinda tired, but I can't help but join in on the blogger holiday wishlist trend! As a beyond broke college student, I spend most of my spare time online clothes browsing, but always make the decision to buy groceries over Givenchy (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong). When December rolls around, however, I'm totally over my self-imposed shopping ban, and I let my imagination run wild when asking for gifts (Life-sized bejeweled elephant statue? Anyone? Bueller?). Here are some of my favorites for 2011...

P.S. On a non fashion-related note, how good is the Black Keys' new album? So effing good.

P.S.S. Google friend connect isn't going to be a thing anymore, so follow me on Bloglovin' if you feel so moved :)

be back never

vintage flannel, AA leggings, Doc Martens boots, Uniqlo coat, earrings from chinatown

A weekend that includes either the Brooklyn Flea or Smorgasburg is a fantastic one in my opinion. Apparently my uniform for these jaunts includes my furry (hairy) Uniqlo coat and some sort of plaid. Just don't call me a dirty hipster.

Similar to my look:
Doc Martens case boots
Topshop dove grey coat
American Apparel shiny leggings
Plaid flannel (it's a men's, I don't care)

Profile Pic

I've recently been rediscovering my love for Jak and Jil, because of the launching of their new website (updates can be found via Bloglovin, I don't think the actual site is up yet). I always admire photographers who can look past the glamour and artificial sheen of the fashion world and find moments of true personal style (The Sartorialist being another notable example). I'm really digging these shots of rugged, wintery looks- hope you do too. Happy December!
